There will be non-refundable $30 registration fee per student or $50 per family.

Accepted Payment Types

The following payment methods are accepted for youth tuition:

  • All major credit cards

  • Cash

  • Cheque

  • Venmo

Payment Plan

We offer a payment plan that is spread out over 9 installments. The 1st installment is a deposit of your first and last month’s tuition, with 8 additional payments after that are due on the 15th of each month starting on October 15th. Spots are not reserved in the class until the first payment is made. Monthly installment payments are due regardless of holidays, closings, and weather. Our end of the year recital fee is not included in the tuition. A $5 processing fee will be applied to monthly payments.

*Cards can be saved on file for automatic payments each month. Please check the box for it on your first recurring invoice (this is not the deposit invoice). Please note that our system does not allow AMEX cards to be automatically charged, but they are still accepted.

**If you are a returning student, you must re-authorize automatic payments each year as the authorization does not roll over onto new invoices. The auto-pay authorization ends when you pay your final invoice of youth tuition for the year.

Policies

Refunds and Cancellations

We allow any student to withdraw from classes with a minimum of 30 days written notice.

Full tuition and Half Tuition payments will be partially refunded and reimbursed after the 30 day notice period. This policy does not pertain to Class Cards.

For those on the payment plan, the security deposit covers the 30 day notice period. All upcoming monthly invoices will be cancelled.

Attendance

Attending your regularly scheduled classes is important! Students build on their technique and choreography throughout the year and, in order to succeed with this, it is imperative to be present.

Please be on time! This means dancers need to be ready to go, including proper hair and attire, prior to class. This allows for all dancers to be properly warmed up and prevents disruptions from students entering the studio after class has already begun.

Dancers arriving 15 minutes late or more may be asked to sit out of class to prevent the risk of injury due to missing the warm up.

Please email the office if your dancer is absent, especially for 2 consecutive weeks. Dancers who miss 4 consecutive, unexcused classes in Levels 3 & up may be asked to understudy their part in recital dances.

Make-Up Classes

Make up any class comparable to yours within 30 days if you need to miss a class. Please email us to let us know which class you’ll be joining as your makeup. Makeup classes do not apply towards scheduled closures such as Winter Break or Spring Break.

Makeups will not be permitted during the last 2 classes before the recital for Pre-K, and the last 4 classes for Level 1 and up since classes will be focused on recital choreography.

Leftover makeup classes “expire” at the end of the school year and cannot be rolled over into our Summer programs or the following Fall semester.

Adding & Dropping Classes

Students are able to add additional classes to their schedule until February 1st.

Students are able to drop any or all classes until March, 1st.

These deadlines are in place to not affect dances and choreography teachers create for the end of year recital as well as to not affect the other students in the class. The deadline for adding classes is earlier than the deadline for dropping to ensure that your child learns enough technique and material before recital dances start.

E-Mail Correspondence

When e-mailing the studio, please start a NEW email unless specified otherwise. This allows us to see your message and understand the status of your child(ren) more promptly as opposed to replying to an existing email thread.

In an effort to serve you better, please refrain from texting Miss Nikki’s cell phone unless it is an emergency, to share photos, or if we are at an outdoors event.

Filming

Please refrain from filming in the waiting room, as our faculty is committed to keeping students’ attention in the classroom. No filming will be permitted during instruction. Filming will be permitted at certain designated times. There will be many opportunities to film inside the studio such as parent observations.

When positing on IG or Facebook, please tag @heartinmotionnj with the hashtag #movewith❤️ or #movewithheart. Follow us for studio reminders, updates, and special events!

Shoes - Exchanges, Donations, & Borrowing *NEW

We can no longer accommodate the shoe exchange, since we do not have any space to store inventory beyond what is borrowed for trial students. You can always visit solesforsouls.org to donate your shoes for a cause and reduce waste. Borrowing shoes will only be accepted for trial students or students trying out a new class style that may not have the proper attire yet. Please remember all shoes needed for classes. Our dance educators and assistants cannot take out class time for this. If you need to purchase shoes from our dance boutique, and your size is out of stock and being ordered, you may borrow shoes until the shoes you have ordered arrives. Students will be expected to dance in tights, socks, or barefoot if shoes are forgotten.

Parking And Drop Off/Pick Up

Please note that parents do not enter the classroom with their child when dropping off or picking up! Parking in Ridgewood is metered Monday-Saturday and Free on Sunday. Payment can be made through the ParkMobile app or kiosks in town.
